Patricia Sampathy is an Assistant Commissioner of Public Groups and International in the ATO. She is based in Perth and leads compliance operational teams in Perth tasked to deliver programs of work relating to International Structuring and Profit Shifting and other assurance activities to ensure that multinational enterprises and large public groups operating in Australia, pay the correct amount of Income Tax and Petroleum Resource Rent Tax in Australia.

Patricia is a member of the Energy and Resources working group, the main ATO consultative forum with industry and tax advisers on income tax and resource rent taxation issues pertaining to the energy and resources sector.

Faith Harako is a Senior Director in the Public Groups & International business line of the ATO. She is responsible for the compliance operational teams in Perth in respect of both PRRT and income tax. These operational teams are also responsible for the delivery of Tax Avoidance Taskforce work streams. Prior to joining Public Groups & International, Faith was a Principal Lawyer in the Review and Dispute Resolution business line of the ATO.

Rebecca Joyce is a Senior Tax Adviser at Chevron Australia and has over 20 years’ experience in tax. She is responsible for the implementation of Chevron’s PRRT for the Gorgon and Wheatstone Projects. Rebecca has been working with the ATO as part of the APPEA PRRT working group which has sought to address the PRRT treatment of items including time-writing and overheads, social infrastructure and other costs.
