Paul Bloxham is HSBC’s Chief Economist for Australia, New Zealand and Global Commodities. He is chief spokesperson for HSBC on forecasts and trends for the Australian and New Zealand economies and their interaction with global financial markets and international economies. Paul is also a key spokesperson on HSBC’s unique view on global commodity markets and works closely with HSBC’s global equities team in this regard. Paul has published a number of papers, including on housing and household finances, asset prices and monetary policy and global commodity market trends. Paul is a regular commentator on local and international business television and a frequent contributor of opinion editorials to the Australian newspapers. In 2017, Paul’s team won two Focus Economics awards: for best overall forecaster for each of Australia and New Zealand. Paul is also a member of the Australian National University’s Shadow Reserve Bank Board and is an Adjunct Professor at Curtin University. Prior to joining HSBC in 2010, Paul Bloxham spent 12 years as an economist within the Reserve Bank of Australia’s Economic Analysis Department where he headed up the overseas economies and financial conditions sections, as well as working on domestic forecasting and prices. He holds a Master’s degree in public financial policy from the London School of Economics.

In December 2009 Kelly was elected to represent the people of Higgins following the retirement of former Federal Treasurer the Hon Peter Costello AC.
Kelly was appointed as the Minister for Revenue and Financial Services in the Turnbull Government in July 2016. She is a member of Cabinet and also serves on Cabinet’s Expenditure Review Committee (ERC).
She served as the Minister for Small Business and Assistant Treasurer from September 2015 to July 2016, and was the Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer from December 2014 until being appointed to Cabinet in 2015.
During her time as Minister for Small Business, Minister O’Dwyer and the Turnbull Government introduced unfair contract protections for small business, established the Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman, abolished the Road Safety Remuneration Tribunal, and announced the amendment of section 46 of the competition law to level the playing field for small businesses. As a member of the Expenditure Review Committee, she also ensured small businesses benefited from the 2016-17 Budget’s tax cuts and expanded small business tax concessions.
She was Chairman of the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Economics from 2013 to 2015.
Kelly has been Chairman of the Australia-United States Parliamentary Friendship Group and Convenor of the Australia-Americas Network, encompassing North, Central and South America.
Kelly is the founder and Chairman of the Parliamentary Friends of Women in Science, Maths and Engineering. In addition, Kelly serves as an Ovarian Cancer Ambassador, Patron of the Stonnington City Brass and Patron of the East Malvern Junior Girls Football Team.

Mike Callaghan AM PSM is an economic consultant, on the Board of the Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation, a Non-Resident Fellow at the Lowy Institute, and a member of the secretariat supporting the G20 Eminent Persons Group. In 2017 he chaired the Government’s review of the Petroleum Resource Rent Tax and the review of the Economic Impact of the Government’s Regulation Agenda. He also chaired the Northern Australia Insurance Premiums Taskforce. From 2013 to 2014 he was Director of the G 20 Studies Centre at the Lowy Institute. Mike spent 38 years in the Australian Treasury. From 2008 to 2012 he was Deputy Secretary, Macroeconomic Group, Australia’s G-20 Finance Deputy, and the Prime Ministers Special Envoy, International Economy. From 2005-2007 he was Deputy Secretary in Revenue Group. He spent four years on the IMF Executive Board in Washington DC and has served as Chief of Staff to the Australian Treasurer.
